Hi, I'm former State Representative Ken Gottlieb.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my "virtual" Campaign Headquarters.

I am running for the District 31 seat of the Florida Senate. I am running because there is a huge disconnect between what the Legislature does and what we want and need. I will be your voice to bring the Legislature back to your basic needs. I will use common sense to find the real problem and fix it. I have been talking about reducing property taxes in a significant way for years. I have plans to lower Property Taxes, Windstorm Insurance. I have also been fighting for our schools so our School Board can once again get back to teaching our children to think and learn instead of just passing a minimum standards test. I don't want to struggle to meet minimum standards, we can do so much better. I will serve the voters of Broward County with respect for their values, their common sense, their hard earned money, and their right to privacy. There has been plenty of talk in Tallahassee about getting government out of peoples' personal lives, but there hasn't been enough action. I have served in the Florida House of Representatives since 1998. I have the legislative experience and my voting record proves I share the core values of our community to make the decisions that are right for us. I have been able to get support and pass many bills and amendments but I have never been shy about taking a stand for the right things even if I was the only no vote.
